The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) office issues and manages Customs Seals for individuals requiring access to CBP security areas in order to perform their job duties.
Customs and Border Protection Security Seal (Customs Seal) Application Requirements:

Authorized Signer will need to complete Customs Seal application.
- CBP will stop accepting permanent SEAL applications to our [email protected] inbox at the close of business on Friday, May 1st. SEAL applications will not be accepted or processed after this date and will resume on May 12th in alignment with system go-live.
- CBP will continue to process current applications from our inbox and eBADGE until the current Port of Seattle SAFE system shuts down Tuesday, May 6th close of business.
- CBP will begin processing all SEAL applications in the Ports new IDMS on May 12th. Please submit future SEAL applications in the IDMS system beginning Monday, May 12th.
- Authorized signers may continue to email [email protected] to communicate with our unit for SEAL Audits and other SEAL-related inquiries.
- Applicant will also need form of identification that is REAL ID Act approved.

For CBP Seal and Badge Renewals: CBP requires all renewed Customs Seal applications to be submitted at least 30 days PRIOR to your renewal appointment.

Pick up locations and contacts:
Check in at the Employee Service Center for issuance of a badge with a CBP Seal. Please DO NOT send the applicant to the CBP Security Seal Office.
The CBP Office is located on street level at the very south end of the airport, near the International Arrivals baggage claim area, and near the transit bus stops. Continue walking south on the paved sidewalk and you will see the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office on the right. Enter through the double doors to the Global Entry Enrollment Center.
